In the Jungwacht, a youth organization to which he belonged, Urs shared his newly developed programs and games with his friends. This early recognition of his work was a powerful motivator for Urs. It drove him to further develop his skills and write even better programs.

It was during these formative years that Urs' father pointed out to him the changes in the world of technology, particularly the transition from MS-DOS to Windows. This insight opened Urs' eyes to the need to constantly evolve and adapt to the rapidly changing technology landscape.

Driven by these early experiences, Urs began to shape his own future. He took his first job at Balzano Informatik AG, where he worked on developing ERP software for universities and colleges. But his true passion lay in developing his own programs. In his spare time, he developed a backup program that saved data to external hard drives - a program that would soon attract the attention of many.
